Living the dream, or something
Hey friends!
Not much to report here, but just wanted to say hello and give a little update from our corner of the world. Everything is going great here for the most part. Nick is settling nicely into his career at the nuclear power plant, and I recently finished my externship for school. I'm still waiting tables, for now. I had thought about getting a job within my career path, but truthfully have no desire to do so at this moment. I would make the same amount of money I do now, but have to work full time. Granted, there's more respect in the medical field, and there's actual benefits, but I want to enjoy my life for a little while longer. I'm also thinking that I'd like to go back to school in a few years, once I pay down my existing loans some. I want to become a physician's assistant!
Jasmine, our kitty that I posted about awhile back, is getting over yet another UTI. Nick had brought home some cheap food for them, and I knew I shouldn't have ever let them eat it. Within a week our poor girl was showing symptoms that she was not well. We tried OTC treatment for a week, and then decided to surrender and take her to the vet. I brought her in at noon on Wednesday, and because they needed a urine sample and try to avoid the catheter at all costs, she had to stay overnight. It was hard enough sleeping without my little pillow hog, all I kept thinking about was how scared she must be. I called shortly after they opened and was told that she had peed, but it was ALL over the cage and had been absorbed so they would have to wait for her to go again. She finally gave them what they needed and Nick got to pick her up at 5:30. She's feeling much better now, but not much liking her new diet. She weighed in at over 16 pounds! So, its time for some kitty weight watchers in hopes of avoiding diabetes in the future.
Now that I officially feel like the crazy cat lady, I'm just gonna show myself out..
